NASDDDS - Advancing Services for Individuals with Disabilities

The National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services (NASDDDS) is a group of agencies that aims to advocate for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Through its leadership, technical assistance, and collaborative networks, the NASDDDS shapes national policy and practice, empowering states to deliver effective, person-centered support.

The NASDDDS is dedicated to knowledge-sharing and technical support. The association regularly disseminates cutting-edge information on evidence-based practices, emerging trends, and successful models in service delivery. Through publications, conferences, and training initiatives, the NASDDDS helps member agencies implement innovative strategies that improve outcomes and enhance the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities. This collaborative learning model allows states to benefit from shared experience and collective expertise.

Among the NASDDDS’s signature initiatives are the National Core Indicators, which measure and compare performance across state disability systems; the State Employment Leadership Network, which advances employment opportunities for people with disabilities; and the Community of Practice: Supporting Families Throughout the Lifespan, which strengthens family-centered supports. Each of these programs demonstrates the organization's commitment to measurable progress and long-term impact in service delivery.
